Nut-Free–Anaphylaxis

Help children with nut allergies lead a safe life

An everyday life full of dangers

For children with a severe nut allergy, daily life is full of challenges. Even the smallest traces of nuts can trigger an anaphylactic shock, which in the worst case can be fatal. This constant threat requires maximum vigilance on the part of affected families and makes a carefree life almost impossible.

There is hope – and you can help

The good news is that there is a special institute in California whose therapy can help these children to lead a normal life. We at the Brotherhood of St. Christoph have already successfully supported two families and can confirm that this therapy works. The treated children were able to lead a carefree life again after the therapy – free of symptoms and complaints and overjoyed.

However, the challenges are not only the costs of the therapy itself, but also the high expenses and logistical planning for the necessary trips to California. Every stage of the journey has to be carefully planned to ensure the safety of the children.

A trip to therapy, which most of us take for granted, becomes an almost impossible task for these families – also financially.

You can’t simply book an airline, as very few airlines will waive the issue of nuts. Normal hotels are not an option either, as the rooms always have to be pre-cleaned by the families to ensure that there are no traces of nuts.

Together we are strong

Our brotherhood has set itself the goal of enabling at least three children to receive this life-changing therapy every year. But to do this, we need your support. Every donation, regardless of the amount, helps us to accompany these children and their families on their way to a better life. With your help, we can give these children the chance of a safe and normal life. Let’s help together – together we are strong and can achieve great things!

One thing is clear to us: we want to help!

Supporting people in their immediate environment is one of the Brotherhood’s strengths.
What it is like to experience every single day as a day full of danger is unimaginable for most of us.

The good news:

We can help and it works! We can give a child a free and self-determined life.
The Brotherhood of St. Christoph has set itself the goal of helping in the long term.

Let’s help together!

Here is an overview of how you can help.

For example by:

  • Assumption of the cost of meals for one day: 40 euros
  • Assistance with accommodation per day: 200 euros
  • Car rental costs per day: 60 euros
  • Assumption of the costs for a hospital stay: 3,000 euros
  • A flight ticket for a stay in the USA, for example: 900 euros

Let’s help together. Together we can enable at least three children to start life-changing therapy every year.
